Use of Muzzles and Gentle Leaders: I understand these devices do not harm my pet and is used to protect both my pet and the employee and I do give consent to the use of said devices. Pets 9 months or older must be spayed or neutered in order to participate in group activities. If a pet has a medical reason for not having vaccines, a Vaccine Waiver form must be completed by their veterinarian and kept on file.
The canine vaccines required are Distemper Combo (DAPP, DHPP, DHLPPV, etc), Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. A negative fecal test, current within 6 months, is also required.

Restricted Areas: While tours are available by appointment, for the safety of our guests and staff, no unauthorized individuals are allowed in any restricted access areas of the facility.
Flea Infestation: OIDS strongly recommends the use of an effective flea/tick preventative. OIDS is not responsible if your pet contracts fleas. If fleas are observed on your pet while at OIDS, they will be treated with nitenpyram (a short acve flea adulticide) and bathed at the owner's expense.
Intestinal Parasitism: Due to the nature of transmission of intestinal parasites (fecal/oral, environmental) and the potential for a “false negative” fecal test, even when current, any guest noted to have signs of intestinal parasites will be treated with dewormer at the owner’s expense and isolated to reduce risk of spread to other guests.
Mandatory Baths: I understand that if my pet soils themself during their stay, they will receive an additional bath to maintain their health at my expense.
Hurricane: In the event of a hurricane evacuation, Owner must have an alternative person of contact who is able to pick up their pet(s) within an hour of mandatory evacuation issuance. Limited staff will remain on site to care for any pets who are unable to be picked up, but the facility will be closed to the public unl the order list. Any additional boarding that is incurred as a result will be at Owner’s expense.
